Lemai’s research areas include health informatics and in business requirements analysis. In health informatics, Lemai conducts research in implementing and evaluating nursing information systems in acute care and aged care contexts and their impacts on various aspects of care delivery; evaluating Electronic Health Records (EHR) implementations, healthcare analytics and interactive data visualisation, and modelling and supporting information needs and information behaviours of clinicians, patients and their carers. She has published widely in many international scholarly journals, book chapters, and fully referred conferences of high quality. She is a member of Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA), and Secretary of HISA Special Interest Group in Aged Care Informatics in 2011-2013.
Creative activities/hobbies: Writing and publishing Poems and Short stories (in Vietnamese), giving Oriental tea ceremonies, learning Tai Chi Chuan and tai Chi Sword, learning Japanese flower arrangement ikebana, and taking digital photographies.
